Small Cupped

This versatile group of daffodils includes many bicoloured varieties. They feature medium-size flowers that usually have richly hued cups surrounded by well-formed white or pale petals. These excellent naturalizers are reliable perennials that return year after year in greater numbers. Daffodils with small cups, or coronas, provide magnificent drifts of colour when their bulbs are planted in large groups. They are an excellent, spring-blooming option for beds and borders, near shrubs, beneath deciduous trees and in containers, and are great cut flowers. A daffodil is deemed to be small cupped if its corona length is less than one-third the length of its outer ring of petals, or perianth.
